Moray SNP News
Angus Robertson MP has called charities, social enterprises, community groups and schools in Moray to apply for funding being offered through round 2 of the RBS Skills and Opportunities Fund.
£2.5 million has been made available from today to help people get work or set up a business. Grants of up to £35,000 are being offered and applicants have until 9th September to apply.
The focus for this funding is to support organisations that help people in disadvantaged communities develop, create or access the skills and opportunities they need to help themselves; skills that will enable them to get into work or start a business, now or in the future.
Local MP Mr Robertson is encouraging interested organisations across the constituency to apply for funding by visiting the fund website at: http://skillsandopportunitiesfund.rbs.com
Commenting Angus Robertson MP said:
“There are many organisations across Moray that could benefit from this fund. This money could go a long way in helping people gain skills and access opportunities, enabling them to turn their lives around and build better communities for everyone.
“The fund is there to be put to good use, and I would encourage local charities and groups to think about how they could make use of this funding in creative ways and to make an application."
