MSP WELCOMES 52 NEW BUSINESS START UPS IN MORAY SINCE JUNE
14/08/2020Moray Business Gateway has confirmed to local MSP Richard Lochhead that there has been a total of 52 new business start ups in Moray since June.
Mr Lochhead has welcomed these new ventures and has praised Moray Business Gateway for their efforts to support local businesses and entrepreneurs throughout this challenging period.
Figures given to the MSP show that there have been a total of 52 new ventures start-up in Moray helped by Business Gateway interventions recently – 14 in June, 18 in July, and 20 in the first week of August.
Commenting Mr Lochhead said:
“There is no getting away from the fact that the last four months have been incredibly challenging for local businesses and the Moray economy, however, there has been some positive news and I very much welcome the fact that over 50 new business ventures started locally since June. And these are only the ones that have been in touch with Business Gateway.
“The team at Moray Business Gateway have been working flat out since the start of the pandemic to support existing businesses and to help those looking to start up on their own. They deserve huge credit for their efforts – these new start ups have been helped along the way by Moray Business Gateway’s intervention.
