MSP URGES PEOPLE TO REGISTER TO VOTE AHEAD OF GENERAL ELECTION

06/11/2019

EVERYONE IN MORAY MUST HAVE THEIR SAY IN COUNTRY’S FUTURE

SNP MSP Richard Lochhead is encouraging voters missing from the electoral roll in Moray to register to vote in time for the Westminster Election on 12th December.

Moray’s MSP is urging those not yet registered to sign up to vote to ensure they have their say in the country’s future.

The deadline for registering to vote for the UK General Election is 26th November.

Commenting, Richard Lochhead said:

“The forthcoming General Election is going to be the most important election in decades and it is vital people make their voice heard on 12 December.

“Westminster has been in chaos and the result of this election is going to shape our future – it is so important that people in Moray use their vote in this crucial poll.

“So often the number of people who don’t vote is bigger than the winner’s majority, so electors in Moray should be in no doubt that their vote counts and will help determine who represents us in Westminster.

“The country is at a crossroads and on December 12th we have an opportunity to decide which path we want the country to take. I would urge folks in Moray to make sure they’re registered by the deadline of 26th November and make sure their voice is heard.”
