MORAY MSP SEEKS UPDATE ON SOCIAL CARE PROVISION IN THE AREA

Richard Lochhead MSP for Moray has written to the head of the Moray Health and Social Care Partnership to request a briefing on the current situation with home care provision.

Commenting Mr Lochhead said:

" I am acutely aware of the pressure Health and Social Care services are under in Moray at the moment. I understand that staff illness and retention continue to be problematic leading to a shortfall in home care provision and delayed discharge.

"I have therefore sought a briefing on how the situation stands particularly with regards to home care provision and what is being done to address the issues.

"I do appreciate that staff are doing their utmost to ease the pressures and I am very grateful to all involved in providing home care to the most vulnerable people in our communities, for all their hard work."
