MORAY MP WELCOMES LOTTERY FUNDING SUCCESSES

30/01/2017

Moray MP Angus Robertson has welcomed the news that six organisations in Moray have been successful in their applications to the National Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ programme.

‘Awards for All’ is the National Lottery’s small grants scheme which makes grants of between £500 and £10,000 to make a big difference in communities. In this latest round six Moray organisations have secured a total of £54,667.

Commenting on the news Angus Robertson MP said:

“Once again Moray organisations have been proactive in engaging with the Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ scheme and their investment in time and effort has paid off.

“Organisations benefiting include Hythehill Primary School and St Peter’s RC Primary School, who are both developing outdoor areas at the schools. Grange Community Association are upgrading their hall facilities. Cullen Community Allotment Association are upgrading their facility to attract more users.

“Pushing Up The Daisies are using grant funding to support people who have been bereaved to raise awareness of caring at home for people in the days after death and before  burial or cremation. Fochabers Village Association are upgrading sound and lighting to maximise usage of the Fochabers Institute.

“A huge well done to all six organisations who benefited in this round of funding. I would encourage any group or organisation in Moray to visit www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/awardsforallscotland to see if they meet the criteria for future funding which may transform their efforts within our communities.”
