In a meeting of Moray Council’s Planning & Regulatory Services Committee on Tuesday 24th April, praise was given to pupils of both Buckie High and Elgin Academy for their efforts in creating the recent films to support youth engagement in the formulation of the next Moray Local Plan.
Speaking in the Council Chamber, Cllr David Bremner, congratulated the pupils who were present, and said they should be rightfully proud of their efforts.
Speaking after the meeting he continued:
“The pupils filmed, edited and produced the films, as part of the consultation on the Local Development Plan 2020, and the quality of the photography was first class. I’m sure that the experience they have gained may prompt thoughts of careers in that direction.
“There are huge opportunities in the creative sector with the growth of streaming services, but whatever they choose to do in the future I wish them the best of luck.”
