LOCHHEAD WELCOMES PLANS TO REOPEN DR GRAY’S OPERATING THEATRES

Richard Lochhead MSP for Moray has welcomed confirmation from NHS Grampian that repairs to operating theatres have completed and teams are now working to reopen theatres and start scheduling operations. 

Commenting Mr Lochhead said:

“I’m really pleased that repair works to operating theatre spaces at Dr Gray’s are now complete and the hospital team are now working to get them up and running again.

“These closures came at the worst possible time as NHS Grampian works through the backlog of operations caused by the pandemic, so it’s good news they’ll be back in action soon.

“I am seeking some clarity from NHS Grampian as to how quickly they will be operational again as I know people in Moray affected by these closures will be keen for the scheduling of operations to restart as soon as possible.”
